How long to LED bulbs last?

LED lights supplied by ESL can last up to 63,000 hours, which is over 5 times the lifespan of the average fluorescent bulb. If you were to run an LED bulb for 8 hours a day, It would last nearly 22 years. This is enough time for 21 Pancake Days, 6 Olympic games and 2 decades.

Can LED bulbs be dimmed?

As LED lighting becomes more advanced, more LED bulbs are becoming dimmable. Since LED lighting consumes a lower wattage, not all dimmers function with LED lighting the same as they would with high wattage incandescent bulbs. Those bulbs that can be dimmed have a trailing edge dimmer which is designed to work with low voltage LED lights. Is retrofit an option?

Retrofit refers to the replacement of traditional bulbs to led bulbs, rather than changing the whole light fitting. You will still receive the same benefits but with little work. What is the reason for retrofitting? If your building is older and has Artex ceilings, this often contains asbestos which can be dangerous when interfered with. Retrofitting allows the lighting to be upgraded without having to disturb the Artex ceiling. If you are unsure whether your building has asbestos, our team are fully asbestos trained so we will be able to help.
